Ida left more than 1 million without power for possibly weeks, and now comes the scorching heat

The Gulf Coast is still sifting through the aftermath and launching rescue missions in the wake of Ida's landfall as a hurricane, and officials say some areas could spend up to the next month of their recovery without power.
